However, if LoRa technology is used, the wireless communication distance can reach several kilometers, and even more than ten kilometers in places like farms where there are few obstructions, which means the communication distance can reach a thousand times of the communication distance of Wifi, so the number of gateways can be almost 1/1000 of that of Wifi technology, which greatly reduces the number of gateways that need to be arranged. This greatly reduces the number of gateways that need to be arranged, lowering the cost of networking and greatly reducing the complexity of networking.
